For many years I’ve had back problems caused by a tilted pelvis and spondylolithesis. Recently things had become worse with pain in my hip, which prevented me from walking any distance.
Initially I contacted my GP and was referred for physiotherapy at St Richard’s. Unfortunately the treatment plan made the pain worse. I was recommended to Lindy Griffiths Associates where I was fortunate enough to be given an appointment with Priya Mehta.
At my first meeting with Priya I was initially sceptical of the treatment she provided as it was incredibly gentle. My view has always been that treatment has to be uncomfortable to be effective, so Priya’s gentle pressure and stretching didn’t feel as though it could possibly do any good. However, by the end of my first treatment my flexibility was massively improved and and my pain greatly reduced; my husband’s comment was that I looked relaxed for the first time in years.
Priya is incredibly calm and gentle and with the help of some very simple home exercises has managed to relieve me of around 75% of my pain in just three short sessions. I can’t recommend her or the entire Lindy Griffiths Associates team highly enough.
